This is a Steck model 3 upright, the piano was made at the Aeolian Company factory in Gotha, Germany in 1910. The casework is veneered in figured mahogany with inlaid borders and banding, and is very high-quality. The Pianola action is a 65-note one, the stack and exhausters all being fitted beneath the key-bed. The whole instrument requires restoration, and it is possible to adapt the spoolbox so that it will play Full-scale 88-note rolls although the original 65 notes of the keyboard will still be played. There is a complementing stool which incorporates roll storage, and there is a collection of about 200 65-note rolls, all of which accompany the piano. Price will depend on whether it is sold as-is, or if we are to undertake work for the purchaser.
